"CAA requires at least 48hours processing time for Jamaican charter permits during J.C.A.A regular office hours Mon – Fri 0900 – 1630lt (1400-2130UTC). They are closed on weekends and Jamaican public holidays; we recommend requesting the same as soon as a trip is confirmed.

As per Arlene Benjamin, Operations Officer, Air Service Licences & Permits, Economic Regulation Department of Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority,
Air operators from countries who are signatories to the International Air Services Transit Agreement, 1944, do not need permission to overfly the Jamaican airspace as they are guaranteed this right in accordance with Article 1, section 1 of the Agreement.

I. Maintenance in the event of a snag, would you request local assistance for repairs or have your own Mechanic perform the necessary repairs.

IV. You need to state on your company’s letterhead, (1) Who is your Quality Assurance Manager (2) Who is your Operation Manager, and (3) Do you Transport Dangerous Goods? If yes please send your Certificate of approval, if no, please indicate no.

NOTE: Journey Permit is not required if operating as a fuel/tech stop, private flight or if the owner/Operator is on board the aircraft.
1. As SOP, crew and pax landing/departure cards must be completed by the travelers themselves.
2. All arrive aircraft should arrive with a minimum of six signed general declaration forms.
3. After submitting the CARICOM apis, forward the spreadsheet to us prior to the arrival, no later than four hours prior to arrival.
4. Aircraft handling request should be sent 48 hours prior to your landing, indicating all services requested , for air ambulance flights,
notification should be given within 24 hours, notwithstanding, the application for a landing permit as a part 135, for which you can operate
but, you must send, all the necessary documents required, would be the application and the security program, once you have all the certificates on the database of the CAA.
