You need to give notification of three days for a landing and two days for an overfly permit. The CAA doesn’t work Friday or Saturday, so be aware when trying to apply on the Friday before your flight on the weekend.

Request Sri Lanka permits directly with the authorities, they’re easy enough to deal with.
