Guatemala

American Flight Support is an official registered agent with Guatemalan CAA and can get you landing or overflying permits within 48 hours. You have to use an agent as there is much paperwork you need to fill out to obtain the permits.  no matter whether you are flying parts 121, 135, and 91. you still need permits to land and overfly. 

They require two days' notice for your application. They don't work over weekends. CAA usually is not responsive to pilots. Send all your inquiries to ops@americanflightsupport.com 

 

Nicaragua

Nicaragua needs overflying and landing permits and requires 72 hours' notice to be issued. YOu need a registered agent like American Flight Support to apply for you. CAA wants you to have an agent apply as they will not reply to individuals or an operator that doesn't have an account with them.  you are required to provide international insurance and pilot medical certifications and every passenger or cargo manifest for overflying and landing permits.

Costa Rica

Technically no overflying is required by their CAA. but we have to turn in a copy of the flight plan 24 hours before departure. You need a landing permit. for the commercial flight, we need to apply 48 hours before departure. 

Panama

Panama permits will be less than 24 hours to be granted. contact ops@americanflightsupport.com for your application. 

Belize

Belize CAA hours are Monday to Friday. They are not working during the weekend, therefore, the latest you can apply for a weekend flight is 1800Z on Friday. They will not be caught in a short-notice situation. 

Overflying and Landing Permits are required for all types of operations.

Goldson International Airport including origin / Place or places of embarkation or disembarkation abroad, as the case may be, of passengers and/or freight / Purpose of flight and number of passengers and/or nature and amount of freight / Type of freight / Name, address and business of charterer, if any / Name of handling agent (compulsory) / Certificate of Airworthiness / Certificate of Registration / Pilot's License and Medical Certificate / Third Party Insurance covering Belizean territory / Crew and passenger passport details

Cuba

Getting Cuba overflying permits is very straightforward and easy. American Flight Support is a registered agent within Cuban Civil Aviation and has a representative locally that will facilitate any landing or overflying of Cuban required. Overflight permits are necessary for private non-revenue and charter (non-scheduled commercial) flights on most routes. Permits are valid for the Zulu day requested, and operators may overfly Cuba using any valid airway. 48 hours is required to obtain an overflight permit. Short-notice applications are often possible – even on weekends and holidays. It’s recommended not to request Cuban overflight permits more than two weeks in advance.
